New Guild Wars 2 races trailer out

The official Races of Tyria trailer for Guild Wars 2 has been released. It certainly looks like Guild Wars again, even the way the characters stand screams that, but this time we'll have a persistent world without all that instancing of areas. It'll still be without a subscription too. Impressive really. Makes me wonder why anyone would want to pay a sub for AION once this comes out...

There are five races to choose from:

Human - like you but noble.

Charr - you know the liony-looking guys you kicked the hell out of in the first game),

Asura - see WoW gnomes),

Norn - they're northerners, tricky types shapeshifting shurkers is what they are, nuff said really.

Sylvari - magic users, in a hippy-loving the plants kind of way.

Right now, it's a toss up for me between a cuddly Charr and going steampunky with a gnome-like Asura.

  • Look at that thing on the cover! What is it? A nuclear power station? A Combine base from Half-Life 2? A rejected robot from Transforminators? No, it's a PC! A hulking great compartmentalised beast of a PC. In ten years, all PCs will look like this. Even your Mum's. Adam Oxford's produced a complete guide to future tech, so you'll know exactly what to spend your cash on to build the PC of the future.

Of course, the most important part of your PC is the CPU. There are a fair few bargains out there from AMD and Intel. Jeremy Laird has given them a run for their money, and written masses on each and every one. An essential guide for now, and the future. Jeremy also tried Intel's mobile Core i7 and Core i5 chips, which feature integrated GPUs and will be heading to a laptop near you soon.
